What’s wrong with displays

Colors. The article is just to remind myself displays are not very colorful. I sense it. I see it.

But on the other hand displays improved over last 5 years. I really hope OLEDs will have great colors and I will feel happiness and relief when see them. Now I’m looking into older MVA 24” display which colors are slightly orange.


Colors - eye, AdobeRGB, sRGB.

sRGB contain the smallest number of colors and yet most of displays cannot show all colors of sRGB.

AdobeRGB is called widegamut.

But the eye can see much more colors than AdobeRGB can display.

There will always be a room for an improvement.
