Howto Fix Windows 10 Update Error 0x800f081f

At some point in time, my Windows 10 couldn’t update itself anymore (and couldn’t even install H2 2020 major update). It would download updates again and again in each attempt, but ultimately would fail with error 0x800f081f.

After very painful searching internet and trying multiple solutions, using external updater worked the best. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/software-download/windows10 download and run updater. I tried to find out what is causing the issue, but nobody knows, just guessing.
